A study carried out by Ipsos for match's UK dating services concluded that the equivalent of 307,124 people have met a partner on one of our sites.

1,004 UK adults aged 18-74 were interviewed as part of the Ipsos Online Omnibus Survey between 3 - 12 August 2010. Those who met a partner through one of match's UK dating sites amounted to 0.59% for Great Britain and 4.58% for Northern Ireland. Ipsos then weighted the sample to be representative of the true population proportions, resulting in a figure of 307,124 people who have found a relationship thanks to match's UK services. The match UK dating services included in the survey were http://uk.match.com, http://www.datingdirect.com and http://www.meetic.co.uk. Data weighting calculated from total population of those aged 18 - 74 across the UK (source: Mid-Year 2009 ONS Estimates): 43,848,500 (GB: 42,607,300, Northern Ireland: 1,241,200)
